Born & raised in Ohio, as owner I design and make SOAPCAKE's products. I've been soaping for nearly a decade and truly enjoy the creative outlet it gives me. I work full time and create during my free time. Mother of 3 lovely ferrets & 1 fat cat.

So, how exactly did SOAPCAKE come to be? I have always been very DIY oriented and love all things science. Is something broken? I'd learn how to fix it myself. One day after browsing the bath & body aisle in a local natural foods store I decided I wanted to learn how to make my own soap. After discovering this new creative outlet and perfecting my process, I began giving my handmade products to friends and family. It didn't take long before great feedback started coming in and I realized that I had found my calling. Since then I've studied Cosmetic Chemistry, learned how to formulate, and expanded to bath bombs, shampoo & conditioner, lotions and all types of bath & body goodies.

The best part? Not having to buy bath & body products anymore and most of all, being able to help others by working 1 on 1 to customize products suited for their sensitivities and specific needs. I hope to one day be able to share my love of handmade bath & body items full time.


PROCESS & PRODUCTS

All items are handmade in small batches with that extra special ingredient, love. Just about everything other than soap is made to order, to give you the freshest product possible.
Due to the handmade nature of our products, items may vary slightly from what you see on the screen. Everything is made in small batches by me in my home studio and may have minor variations in color shading or fragrance from batch to batch. Fragrances containing Vanilla can cause some discoloration over time.

PROCESSING TIMES

All items usually ship within 1 to 3 business days (weekends/holidays excluded), custom or large orders may require additional time to ship. If you should have any questions about shipping or custom orders please send me a convo. Invoiced scheduled ship by dates are estimates, and while we aim to ship as quickly as possible please allow for potential extended shipping times during holidays and busy seasons. If an order requires significant additional time (more than a day or two) a notice will be sent.

SHIPPING

Occasionally items may arrive or appear damaged from transit. If any items seem damaged upon receipt, send me a photo of the product in the original packaging as received within 3 days. Minor damage to products (denting, crumbling, melting, cracking) generally does not render any of the products unusable or warrant a refund, although all damage claims will be reviewed and considered. Body Butters or similar products may melt in transit during the Summer months, these only need stirred and placed in the refrigerator to return to room temperature.
